Winnipeg Jets Capitalize on Bruins’ Defensive Breakdown, Dustin Byfuglien Scores First Goal of Game (Video)

The Bruins were able to pull out a win against the Winnipeg Jets, despite not getting on the board first.

The Jets had that honor during the first period when Dustin Byfuglien took advantage of a breakdown in the Bruins’ defense. The B’s were caught in the middle of a shift change when Byfuglien stepped up on an up-ice pass and carried it down to the Bruins net. He missed on the first shot but got his own rebound and was able to fire a clean shot off and score when Johnny Boychuck got mixed up on his coverage.
