Oliver Wahlstrom reached viral fame by playing beyond his years during his days on the TD Bank Mini 1-on-1 circuit, and years later, his maturity continues to impress.
The 13-year-old is now a seventh grader at North Yarmouth Academy playing with the school’s varsity team. Although the age discrepancy is a huge one, neither Wahlstrom nor his teammates seem to even notice it anymore. Wahlstrom’s elite skills have him playing on the team’s top line and top power play unit, which shouldn’t be all that surprising since he verbally committed to the University of Maine in January. Wahlstom became the nation’s youngest current NCAA hockey commit.
