Seth Kraft, a senior at Laurel High School in Montana, received one of the best birthday presents he could have asked for Saturday night.
Kraft, who has been the boys basketball student-manager and student-coach for four years, saw his first taste of game action when he started for the Laurel Locos on Senior Night, which also happened to fall on his 18th birthday.
Kraft is a dwarf, listed at just 4-foot-1, but what the youngster lacks in height, he more than makes up for in heart. The Locos gym erupted when Kraft’s name was announced during the starting lineups, and the booming applause only continued when he drove through the lane and scored a basket during the first quarter.
