The St. Louis Blues opened the scoring in Thursday’s game against the Boston Bruins with a first-period goal from top-line winger Alexander Steen.

The play started in their own zone, where the Blues won possession of the puck and executed a clean breakout through the neutral zone. A poor line change by the Bruins allowed the Blues to enter the attacking zone on a 4-on-2 rush, and that’s where Steen fired a rocket past B’s goalie Tuukka Rask.
