Relativity Sports is trying a new way to market their sports management services for professional athletes — produce a movie trailer parody that makes absolutely zero sense.
In a video that features Amar’e Stoudemire as the President of the United States and a cast full of other NBA stars, the “RelativityAvengerables” have to stop an evil scientist’s plot to destroy the world.
Unsurprisingly, they manage to do so, thanks in part to Dwight Howard’s ability to shoot lasers from his eyes and DeAndre Jordan’s karate skills. Former Celtics swingman Courtney Lee even makes an appearance, taking on the role of “the creepy close-talker.”
Also starring in the movie trailer are DeMarcus Cousins, Iman Shumpert, Chandler Parsons, Corey Brewer and Larry Sanders. Although the main selling point of Relativity Sports isn’t clear in the video, perhaps its efforts to potentially go viral will garner enough attention to warrant the clips’ production.
