Very few people have the capability or authority to take part in a flyover for any sporting event, so United States Army specialist David Wilf was thrilled when he was offered the opportunity to take part in Super Bowl XLVIII’s helicopter flyover.
Thanks to some nifty recording, Wilf captured the special moment as the helicopters made their pass over Metlife Stadium. The clear New Jersey evening afforded Wilf an incredible view of the field as smoke cleared from the fireworks, and the teams prepared to take the field.
While the Clarksville, Tenn., native might never get a chance to participate in another flyover, we should all thank specialist Wilf for sharing the special moment with us, and for serving our country.
