Bob Costas’ Sochi nightmare appears to be nearing its end.

The longtime NBC Olympic host, who has been absent since Tuesday as he recovers from an eye infection, told The New York Times’ Rich Sandomir that he hopes to return to the 2014 Winter Olympics anchor desk within the next two days.
