Boston Red Sox ambassadors will hand out roses and take the team’s World Series trophies to visit seniors in Lynn, West Roxbury and Dorchester on Valentine’s Day.

The annual tradition began in 2003, and the first stop on this year’s trip will take place from 9:15-10:15 a.m. at the Life Care Center of the North Shore in Lynn.

The Red Sox then will join Boston mayor Martin J. Walsh from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Irish Social Club in West Roxbury. The visit will mark Walsh’s first large senior event since taking office.

The day will conclude with a visit to The Standish Village in Dorchester from 2-3 p.m.
