The Boston Red Sox announced Friday that 17 players will attend the team’s major league spring training camp as non-roster invitees.

These players are not on the Red Sox’s 40-man roster, but they are either veterans signed to minor league contracts or prospects from within the organization.

ESPN’s Keith Law listed two of the invitees, Matt Barnes and Blake Swihart, on his top 100 prospects list. Eight of the 17 players also have major league experience.
