Boston Red Sox Truck DayThe Boston Red Sox’s equipment truck will leave for Fort Myers on Saturday, and fans are encouraged to join the fun at Fenway Park.

The Red Sox’s equipment truck will be loaded beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8, and is scheduled to depart for Fort Myers — home of the Red Sox’s spring training complex — around 10 a.m. Red Sox fans are encouraged to head over to Fenway, where the 2004, 2007 and 2013 World Series trophies will be on display for fans in the ticket office on the corner of Yawkey Way and Brookline Avenue from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The equipment truck, which will depart from Fenway Park on Van Ness Street (adjacent to Gate D), will be led by a flatbed truck carrying Wally the Green Monster and Fenway ambassadors who will be tossing soft Red Sox baseballs to fans.

Truck Day marks the unofficial beginning of spring training, so be sure to stop by before the truck begins its 1,480-mile trek.
