British skier Rowan Cheshire was the latest athlete to fall victim to the dangerous halfpipe at the 2014 Winter Olympics, knocking herself unconscious during a training run Sunday.
The 18-year-old Cheshire reportedly “fell heavily on her face” in the middle of the pipe and was taken to the hospital.
Team doctors diagnosed her with a concussion, and her face took a serious beating, but Cheshire at least seemed to be in good spirits after the crash. She posted this photo Monday from her hospital bed.

It’s unknown if Cheshire will be healthy enough to compete when the women’s halfpipe event begins Thursday.
