The Boston Bruins showed tremendous effort and patience with the puck in their lone goal during the first period against the Vancouver Canucks Tuesday night.

After Matt Bartkowski won the battle for the puck against Ryan Kesler in the Boston zone, Jarome Iginla, David Krejci and Milan Lucic took off hard down to the other end of the ice. Krejci slowed the play down in the neutral zone and allowed the play to develop as Iginla established a strong net-front presence. Iginla’s positioning allowed Milan Lucic to sneak in behind him and he finished off the nice play by beating Roberto Luongo to give the B’s the 1-0 lead.
