CBS Partners With NFL Network To Air Thursday Night Football Games

The NFL Network has partnered with CBS to air eight early-season Thursday night games. The games will air on both CBS and NFL Network, and an additional six late-season Thursday night games and two Saturday night games will air exclusively on NFL Network.

CBS broadcasters Jim Nantz and Phil Simms will call all 16 games. Pregame, halftime and postgame shows will feature a mix of NFL Network and CBS Sports announcers. Thursday night games on NFL Network previously featured Brad Nessler and Mike Mayock in the broadcast booth.

“NFL Network built Thursday into a night for NFL fans,” NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said. “Our goal is to bring these games to more fans on broadcast television with unprecedented promotion and visibility for Thursday Night Football on CBS.”

The deal between NFL Network and CBS lasts for one year. The NFL has an option for an additional year.
