Clay Buchholz is easing himself back into baseball shape.
Given the shorter offseason and the injuries he battled last season, the Boston Red Sox right-hander is putting less pressure on himself this spring training. Instead of entering camp already in midseason form, Buchholz altered his routine this winter to limit his throwing, and as a result, he’s never felt healthier. Buchholz said he wants to be more durable this season, and he thinks this is the first step in reaching that goal.
