It only seemed like LeBron James brought down the house with his buzzer-beating game-winner Wednesday night against the Golden State Warriors.
In fact, the house started coming down much earlier.
Well before James’ 3-pointer over Andre Iguodala gave the Miami Heat a 111-110 victory, things literally started falling apart at Oracle Arena. Pieces from a disco ball hanging from the ceiling — because no NBA arena is complete without a disco ball, naturally — fell onto the court during play. Worst of all, it nearly landed on Stephen Curry, the Warriors’ golden boy.
We weep for the unlucky disco ball hanger if Curry had been hurt.
