Ed ReedEd Reed received $5 million for five starts with the Houston Texans in 2013, but in the safety’s return to the city, some of that money got taken back.

Reed withdrew $50,000 from a Houston bank this week, police told Click2Houston.com. Reed stopped at a Bank of America next, and thieves broke his car window and stole the $50,000.

Police say they believe the longtime Baltimore Raven was followed from one bank to the next. They are looking for whoever broke Reed’s window and stole his money.

Reed signed a three-year, $15 million deal with the Texans over the offseason. He was waived in November and signed with the New York Jets. Reed is now a free agent.
