Eric EbronNorth Carolina tight end Eric Ebron is confident in his skills.

The No. 1 tight end in the 2014 NFL draft comes with an impressive size-speed combination, and he’s not afraid to talk about it.

“It should be illegal,” Ebron told NFL.com on Wednesday. “I’m going to continue to run around illegally.”

Ebron is 6-foot-4 and expects to weigh 250 pounds at the NFL scouting combine next week. He’s bulked up from 245 pounds in college to help improve his blocking skills.

Ebron’s receiving skills should not be doubted. He caught 62 passes for 973 yards with three touchdowns in his junior season in 2013. Ebron will show just how dangerous the speed aspect of his game is on Saturday, Feb. 22, when he’s tested in Indianapolis at the combine.
