The Texas Rangers have reached a 10-year deal with an insurance company for naming rights to their stadium.

The team said Wednesday that its 20-year-old stadium will immediately be renamed Globe Life Park in Arlington. It’s part of an agreement with Globe Life and Accident Insurance Co., a wholly owned subsidiary of Torchmark Corp. in McKinney, which is in the Dallas area. Terms were not disclosed.

The park opened in 1994 as The Ballpark in Arlington. That original name stood until 2004, when it was changed to Ameriquest Field. The mortgage lender then relinquished its naming rights before the 2007 season, the same year the company shut down, and the stadium had since been known as Rangers Ballpark in Arlington.
