Athletes rarely forget the final high school game they played in front of their home fans. But for Andrew Howard of North Carolina’s Southlake Christian Academy, Senior Night had something extra special.

The score was tied with less than three seconds remaining in Southlake’s final home game of the regular season Tuesday night, and the Eagles were set to inbound the ball from near halfcourt. Rather than trying to get a player free for a quick shot, though, Southlake went for the dagger, with seniors Miles Boone and Howard connecting perfectly on a buzzer-beating alley-oop to win the game.

That’s one heck of a way to go out.

Check out the play in the video below, with a hat tip to The Big Lead.
