A plane from Kharkiv, Ukraine, landed safely in Istanbul on Friday, but not without some drama.

An intoxicated passenger claimed there was a bomb on board the flight before trying to hijack the plane and reroute it to Sochi, according to multiple news outlets, The Associated Press reports.

With 110 passengers on board, the man reportedly rose from his seat and shouted that there was a bomb on board. He then tried to enter the locked cockpit, and the pilot signaled the hijacking attempt. Sabiha Gokcen Airport was put on high alert, and an F-16 fighter plane was readied as soon as the signal came in.

NTV television reported the man had been subdued and that he was “in a state of severe alcohol intoxication.” No weapons or explosives were found on him, according to reports.
