Forget Bobby Ryan or Kyle Okposo. Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt might be the replacement the U.S. Olympic hockey team never knew it always needed.
The 6-foot-5, 290-pound All-Pro got into the Winter Olympics spirit by lacing up his skates and flashing some of his skills on the ice. Watt, who grew up playing hockey in Wisconsin, showed he’s still got it as he displayed some impressive stick-handling moves before scoring — on an open net.
While Watt has made a career out of harassing opposing quarterbacks on the gridiron, it’s mighty fun to imagine what he could do as an enforcer in the NHL.
