Figure skating veterans Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski took Olympic fashion to a whole new level when they commentated the 2014 Winter Games in bright, coordinated outfits.
The dynamic duo is set to return sooner than expected, as next week they will report on Oscars fashion for “Access Hollywood,” Weir told USA Today.
“We already have people pulling clothes,” said Weir, who was the undisputed fashion champ of Sochi. “We’re going to be ready. And we’re going to bring it.”
Although Weir and Lipinski were not well-acquainted with each other at the beginning of the skating season, they quickly adapted and built a noticeable chemistry. Neither commentator had significant broadcast experience before Sochi, but the pair seemed like on-screen veterans as they covered the Olympic figure skating events.
“I think for us, it was a dream,” Lipinski said. “We had a lot of fun, we enjoyed each other, we found a rhythm, we found who we will be as broadcasters, and we’ll only get better.”
