Jose Reyes isn’t going to let a little snow stand in the way of his offseason preparation.

The East Coast got hit with a winter storm Monday, forcing many residents to shovel, plow or otherwise remain confined to their homes. Reyes had other ideas, though, as the Toronto Blue Jays shortstop posted a photo to his Instagram account of him playing catch in the snowy conditions.

Reyes told his followers that while they might see an obstacle (snow), he sees an opportunity to be great and thus intends to follow through with his offseason training regardless of what Mother Nature throws his way.

The Blue Jays went 74-88 in 2013 and finished in last place in the American League East. Now would be a good time for the club to follow Reyes’ lead.
