Evan Wardley of the Western Hockey League’s Seattle Thunderbirds delivered a hit Tuesday night that the Seattle Seahawks’ Legion of Boom would be proud of.
The Thunderbirds defenseman rammed Prince Albert Raiders winger Chance Braid into the glass near the penalty box late in the third period. The crushing blow, which didn’t seem to even faze Braid, certainly had an effect on the glass behind him as the pane of plexiglass shattered upon contact.
