Marshawn Lynch: Super Bowl The Best Day Of My Life ‘Next To Being Born’

Marshawn Lynch, Terrance KnightonSuper Bowl Sunday was the best day of Marshawn Lynch’s life. Well, “next to being born,” the Seattle Seahawks running back said.

The Seahawks beat the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium, and Lynch scored Seattle’s first touchdown from 1 yard out with 12 minutes left in the second quarter.

“Kicked it all off, boss,” Lynch said about his touchdown run.

Lynch had 39 yards on 15 carries — a fairly pedestrian day for Beast Mode. Wide receiver Percy Harvin led the Seahawks in rushing with 45 yards on two end-around carries.

Lynch elected to speak to the media after the Seahawks’ win — he spent just 20 minutes with reporters during the entire Super Bowl week — and called the championship a “dream come true.” He was a man of few words yet again.
