Bob Costas just can’t seem to shake his eye infection.

Costas will be sidelined for the second night in a row, and Matt Lauer will fill in as the host for NBC’s late night and prime-time Olympics coverage Wednesday, according to Jason McIntyre of The Big Lead. Costas missed Tuesday night after an infection in his left eye spread to his right eye over the weekend, forcing the host to wear glasses during his broadcasts. It seems Costas’ condition hasn’t improved, and the “TODAY” show host will take over Costas’ broadcasting duties again Wednesday night.

Costas has been the voice and face of prime-time coverage of the Olympics since 1988, and Monday night marked the first time he’d ever missed a shift.
