Orioles Manager Buck Showalter Makes Prospect Write Essay On Frank Robinson

Baltimore Orioles prospect Josh Hart skipped college to jump straight to the minors, but his days of homework assignments aren’t over just yet.

In addition to the typical workouts and drills, Orioles manager Buck Showalter has assigned Hart a one-page essay on O’s great Frank Robinson after the 19-year-old said Monday he’d never heard of the Hall of Famer.

Robinson’s storied major league career did end nearly 20 years before Hart was born, but c’mon, man. The 2013 first-round draft pick might want to hang this list in his locker for the rest of the season, just to be safe.
