Patrice Bergeron, David Krejci, Tuukka Rask and Loui Eriksson will join teammate Zdeno Chara in Sochi soon enough, but the Boston Bruins are focusing on the Ottawa Senators before they start thinking about the Olympics.
The B’s were hesitant to field questions about the Winter Games before taking on the Sens because they didn’t want to overlook their opponents, but a couple of players couldn’t hide their joy when talking about Chara in the Olympic Opening Ceremony.
Patrice Bergeron and David Krejci expressed what an honor it was to see their teammate carry Slovakia’s flag, but there was a segment of the opening ceremonies that Krejci missed. Krejci couldn’t quite figure out the Cyrillic alphabet so he missed the athletes from Czech Republic make their entrance.
Fortunately, he’ll see his countrymen in person very soon. Check out the above video to hear more about the Bruins’ take on the Olympics.
