Patrick Kane might have some making up to do once the 2014 Winter Olympics conclude and he makes his way back to Chicago.
The Team USA forward has been surrounded by some of the best and most talented players in the NHL during his career with the Blackhawks. But after just three games in Sochi, Kane delivered the highest of compliments about one of his U.S. teammates — and gave a couple of ‘Hawks some unintentional bulletin-board material in the process.

To be fair, Phil Kessel’s play in the Winter Games has been absolutely dominant as he has emerged as Team USA’s best forward, tallying four goals and three assists in the tournament so far. Patrick Sharp, who plays for Canada, wasn’t buying Kane’s claim, though. The Chicago winger simply believes it has been too long since they’ve shared the same ice.

The Kessel praise also made its way over to two-time Stanley Cup champion and 2010 Olympic gold medalist Jonathan Toews. He and Kane have become one of the most dynamic duos in the league, but the one half of the NHL’s version of the Odd Couple wouldn’t even give his teammate the satisfaction of reacting to the news.
