The Seattle Seahawks got some outside help from opposing NFL players to beat Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII.
Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman said Tuesday night on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” that players from opposing teams called to help Seattle’s secondary learn Manning’s hand signals and audibles. Sherman told themmqb.com after the Super Bowl that the Seahawks were able to jump the Broncos’ routes because of what they had figured out.
Seahawks linebacker and Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith asked Sherman why the secondary didn’t tell the rest of the team what they figured out. Sherman would not specify which players had called to chip in.
