Slapshot Classic: Mike Carp Is First Red Sox Player Held Scoreless (Video)

After playing the sport for only a few minutes, Mike Carp has decided to retire from the game of hockey.

Carp was held scoreless in the Slapshot Classic on “Red Sox LIVE from Fort Myers,” becoming the first member of the Boston Red Sox to put up a zero spot in the standings. Shane Victorino’s friendly trash talk from the sidelines might have had something to do with his teammate’s struggles, but Carp is just fine taking his talents back to baseball.
