Super Bowl 48: Most Watched Show Ever With 111.5 Million Viewers

Super Bowl XLVIII was the most watched show ever with an average of 111.5 million viewers. The Seahawks’ 43-8 blowout win over the Broncos at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., surpassed the New York Giants’ win over the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XLVI, which had an average of 111.3 million viewers.

Super Bowl XLVIII had a 46.4 rating and 69 share. That matches last year’s Super Bowl between the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers.

Bruno Mars broke records during the Pepsi Super Bowl XLVIII Halftime Show, as well. There were 115.3 million people watching Mars and the Red Hot Chili Peppers perform. That broke Madonna’s record 114.0 million in 2012.
