T.J. Oshie burst onto the scene Saturday with his unbelievable shootout performance against Russia in the 2014 Winter Olympics, and now he’s bursting onto the movie scene — sort of.

The St. Louis Blues forward became an instant American hero — his Wikipedia bio even proved that temporarily — when his number was called again and again during the shootout. With a smile and a crazy amount of confidence, Oshie converted four of six chances to give the U.S. an incredible and wild 3-2 win.

Although Oshie deflected all of the attention to his teammates after the game and won over even more Americans with his answer about who the real heroes are, he was still given the hero treatment. Oshie’s shootout masterpiece wasn’t “the Miracle on Ice” by any means, but it was one of the greatest U.S. Olympic hockey moments since the legendary 1980 semifinal game.

So, it’s only fitting that Oshie’s clutch shooting was mashed up with a scene from the movie “Miracle.” Check out Herb Brooks telling the Team USA forward to shoot again and again in the video below, with a hat tip to @HarrisonMooney.
