Tiger Woods Lindsey VonnLindsey Vonn has suffered multiple injuries in the last year that have prevented her from participating in the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi but she has found comfort in her personal relationship with golfer Tiger Woods.

Vonn, who tore her ACL Feb. 5 2013 and experienced a major knee injury this past November, has been in and out of rehab for almost a year.

“He’s helped me stay patient through rehab,” Vonn said regarding Woods in the February issue of SELF magazine. “He helped me take it one day at a time.”

Woods and Vonn have been dating since early 2013, following her divorce from her former coach, Thomas Vonn.

“I wasn’t sure if I was strong enough to be on my own, but I found out I am. Now I’m in charge of my whole life,” she said.

Vonn has endured clinical depression for many years, but she credits Woods with boosting her mood and outlook.

“I’ve been the happiest I’ve ever been,” she admitted.

“We’re good for each other” Vonn added. “I don’t know what he’s learned from me, to be honest. But we push each other and help each other when we’re down.”

Although Vonn will not be competing in Sochi, she will be present at the games as an Olympic correspondent for Today and NBC Sports.
