Olympic athletes are usually at their peak of physical fitness and toughness, but few will be tougher than U.S. bobsled teammates Nick Cunningham and Dallas Robinson.

The U.S. Olympic selection committee announced Saturday that Cunningham and Robinson will be paired for the two-man bobsled competition in Sochi, set to kick off on Feb. 16. Olympic bobsled dreams are not the only thing the pair have in common, though — they are both members of the U.S. Army National Guard, according to FOX Sports.

Cunningham, who hails from Monterey, Calif., is a sergeant in the New York Army National Guard and finished 12th in the two-man event and fourth in the four-man event at the Winter Games in Vancouver. He graduated from Boise State University in 2008, where he was captain of the university’s track team.

Robinson is a sergeant in the Kentucky Army National Guard after starring in track at Eastern Kentucky. He’s also roommates in Sochi with Johnny Quinn, the U.S. bobsledder who had to break his way out of a bathroom earlier in the weekend.
