The man attacked by former Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez while the two were incarcerated has been released from jail, according to TMZ, citing law enforcement officials.
Andrew Booker was on the receiving end of Hernandez’s aggression when the two got into a fight in February, but Booker — who was in Bristol County Jail on drug and gun charges — was released from custody Sunday afternoon.
Booker was in handcuffs when he was attacked by Hernandez following a verbal feud between the two. The verbal fight had lasted for weeks leading up to the physical fight, according to TMZ sources.
Booker’s lawyer said his client suffered cuts, bruises and scrapes in the attack. He also said Booker is considering taking legal action against the Bristol County Sheriff’s Office for allowing the attack to happen.
