Corey Crawford will goaltend for the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday night when the team hosts the Pittsburgh Penguins at Soldier Field, but not before he deals with a missing face mask.

Crawford later clarified that his Stadium Series mask was not actually stolen, but rather missing in action. Crawford planned on wearing a special set of pads and mask Saturday, as many goaltenders do for NHL outdoor games.

“I don’t know what to say,” Crawford told NHL Network. “It just disappeared. It was supposed to be sent this week and they just mishandled it. It’s gone. We’re going to have to go to Plan B.”

Plan B means Stadium Series pads paired with his standard mask. The puck drops at Soldier Field Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.
