Blake Griffin used one of his many, many dunks Monday night to tip his hat to the previous generation.
After receiving a pass on a fast break during the Los Angeles Clippers’ 112-105 win over the Phoenix Suns, Griffin went up all alone for a dunk and grabbed the back of his head with his left hand — the signature move of “The Mailman,” Karl Malone.
It was quite an eventful night for Griffin, who poured in a game-high 37 points and also nearly came to blows in a scuffle that led to the ejection of Suns forward P.J. Tucker.
Strangely enough, Malone was in the news Monday night, too, sharing his love for his flip phone from courtside at the Utah Jazz-Atlanta Hawks game.
