Free-agent linebacker Wesley Woodyard left the New England Patriots’ facility without a contract Wednesday, but he said the visit went well, according to ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

“The visit with the Patriots went great,” Woodyard told Anderson. “I got to sit down with the coaches. I talked to (Bill) Belichick too. He told me how he sees my role with the team. I respect him a lot.”

Woodyard has a visit scheduled with the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, and he likely will make his decision after that.

Woodyard had 84 tackles and 1.5 sacks in 14 games with the Denver Broncos last season.
