The Boston Bruins extended their winning streak to nine games with a dominant 4-1 win over the Minnesota Wild on Monday night.
The Wild came into the St. Patrick’s Day matchup having won all six of their visits to the Garden, but in the two teams’ first meeting since Feb. 12, 2012, the Bruins finally managed to best Minnesota at home. Jarome Iginla powered the B’s with two goals on the night, while Reilly Smith and Loui Eriksson each chipped in a goal as well.
With the win, Boston increased its conference lead to five points over the second-place Pittsburgh Penguins.
