Bruins Hold Moment Of Silence To Honor Boston Fire Department (Video)

The Bruins honored the Boston Fire Department before Thursday night’s game against the Chicago Blackhawks at TD Garden with a moment of silence.

Lt. Ed Walsh and firefighter Michael Kennedy died Wednesday while battling a nine-alarm fire in the Back Bay.

Rene Rancourt sang the national anthem before the game, and he was joined by the Boston Fire Department honor guard.

The Bruins also wore Boston Fire Department hats during warm-ups.
