Former Boston Bruins forward Rich Peverley was rushed to the hospital after collapsing on the bench during the first period of Monday night’s Columbus Blue Jackets-Dallas Stars game.

The Stars announced Peverley was conscious on the way to the hospital, and the game was postponed after the scary situation, with the forward receiving an outpouring of love and support. The Bruins were among those who sent their thoughts and prayers to the 31-year-old and the entire Stars organization.

Peverely spent two-plus seasons with the Black and Gold and won the Stanley Cup with the B’s in 2011. The Stars acquired Peverley in last year’s Fourth of July blockbuster trade that also sent Tyler Seguin to Dallas.
