The Vancouver Canucks might have ended their three-game losing streak on Saturday night with a 2-1 victory over the Calgary Flames, but they also left with an embarrassing story.

Flames right winger Brian McGrattan scored his team’s first and only goal in the second period, when he fired a hard slap shot from center ice. The puck skipped and lifted a few inches into the air, but Canucks goalie Eddie Lack was oblivious. Lack allowed the puck to pass him and enter the net without a single flinch.

Lack’s shocking performance comes after the Canucks traded his best friend and fellow goaltender Roberto Luongo to the Florida Panthers last week.

Despite the unusual goal by the Flames, the Canucks landed on top, and Lack seemed to have some humor about the incident.
