The month of March has been a tough time for Vancouver Canucks center Ryan Kesler.
The 29-year-old wasn’t moved by the March 5 trade deadline, his team is 3-6-1 in its last 10 games and he will now miss time with a knee injury suffered against the Winnipeg Jets on Wednesday.

Kesler’s loss is a massive one for the Canucks offense.
He leads the team with 22 goals and plays more minutes per game (22:08) than any other Vancouver forward. His consistent scoring production has helped the Canucks get through top-line center Henrik Sedin’s goal droughts this season. Vancouver enter’s Thursday’s slate of games ranked 29th in scoring and 27th in power-play percentage.
The Canucks are four points behind the Dallas Stars for the final wild card playoff spot in the Western Conference.
