Eddie Lack On Roberto Luongo Trade: ‘Bromance Over’

Some bromances just aren’t meant to last forever and Vancouver Canucks netminder Eddie Lack unfortunately learned that the hard way Tuesday evening.

Lack lost his partner-in-crime when Roberto Luongo was traded to the Florida Panthers in a multi-player deal. The move marks the end of a tumultuous era in Vancouver for Luongo, but it also marks the end of an epic friendship that blossomed over the past couple of years.

Despite the goaltending drama that tends to plague Vancouver, which was reignited when Lack was given the start over Luongo in the Heritage Classic on Sunday, the two best buds were always there for each other — usually in the form of a witty tweet.

While Lu went the emoji route and tweeted out a picture of a palm tree after rumors of the trade began surfacing, Lack instead went in a more sentimental direction with his tweet.
