Warning: Andreas Beck can be hazardous to your health … that is, if you’re a cameraman working for SKY Germany.

Beck injured a cameraman working the sidelines during Hoffenheim’s Bundesliga (German first division) game against Mainz on Saturday.

In the 22nd minute, Beck, Hoffenheim’s captain and right fullback, was trying to keep a ball in play when he lost his balance, tumbled over the advertising hoardings and barreled into the cameraman.

The camera operator suffered a concussion and lost consciousness, according to the Mail. Paramedics quickly arrived, stretchered him off the field and took him to a local hospital.

“He is doing well under the circumstances,” said Holger Tromp, Hoffenheim’s press officer. “He is responsive and has been given a neurological check in hospital.”

Beck stayed in the game until the 87th minute, when he was substituted — for tactical reasons. Visiting Mainz won the game 4-2.
