The competition to sign Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in New York ended Monday, with the Giants prevailing.
After meeting with the Giants and Jets over the weekend, the former Denver Broncos cornerback agreed to terms with Big Blue on a five-year, $35 million contract with $15 million guaranteed, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported. The Giants later announced the deal but didn’t reveal terms.

Rodgers-Cromartie further bolsters a Giants secondary that also has added ex-Seattle Seahawks cornerback Walter Thurmond and former Kansas City Chiefs safety Quintin Demps. The Jets, meanwhile, still are searching for help after releasing Antonio Cromartie and missing out on a reunion with Darrelle Revis, who signed with the AFC East rival New England Patriots.
Rodgers-Cromartie started 13 games for Denver last season and had team-high-tying three interceptions.
