Jake Peavy Pitches Well In Latest Red Sox Spring Training Start (Video)

Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Jake Peavy took the mound in Wednesday night’s spring training game against the Pittsburgh Pirates at JetBlue Park in Fort Myers.

The veteran right-hander threw 4 2/3 innings, giving up four hits and just one earned run. He also struck out five batters and dominated hitters with his fastball. After Peavy left the game, the Red Sox bullpen gave up three runs, and Boston lost 4-2.

Aetna Strikeouts for A Cause

For every strikeout by a Red Sox pitcher at Fenway Park in June, Aetna will donate $250 to Boston Health Care for the Homeless Program. Through June 25, the donation mark stands at $30,000.

Through their continued efforts in the local community, Aetna is helping to build a healthier world -- one city and one strikeout at a time.
