The former UConn coach said Tuesday on CBS Sports Radio’s “The Morning Show” that he’s not interested in the BC job, contrary to a recent ESPN report that Calhoun was “significantly interested.”
“No, I have no interest in any job out there right now,” Calhoun said. “I have not talked to anybody, have no plans to talk to anybody. But I’ll never say never.”
BC relieved Steve Donahue of his duties last week after he went 54-76 over four seasons. The Eagles went just 8-24 this season, including a dismal 4-14 record in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Calhoun, who’s currently in an advisory role at UConn, stepped down as the Huskies’ head coach in 2012 after breaking his hip in a bicycle accident. Calhoun and the Huskies won the NCAA men’s basketball championship in 2011.
