Chicago Bulls v Brooklyn Nets - Game TwoChicago Bulls center Joakim Noah is more interested in launching his team to first place in the Central Division than he is in receiving individual recognition, but he may want to start focusing on himself.

Noah will receive a $500,000 bonus check if he is elected to the All-NBA first team, according to Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.

The 29-year-old NBA veteran currently averages a career high of 12.2 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists per game. He is in contention for Defensive Player of the Year and is expected to be on the MVP ballot, so his chances of being named to the first team are good.

But Noah, who has said that he dislikes when the Chicago crowds chant ‘M-V-P’ during games, may not be interested.

“It’s not about MVPs, it’s about rings, and one day I hope that we can get one here,” the center told Bulls.com. “That’s all I want. I don’t care about the other stuff.”
